![]() ![]() I am listing quite a few great old school BMX parts from projects that never got completed so please be sure to look at my other listings. Please ask any and all questions BEFORE bidding and I will answer them as best that I can. I am sorry that I don't know the exact year of this stem. This wear more than likely occured because the OG Haro bars had almost zero tolerance with the cap. The only signs of wear are on the outer edges of the top cap where the cap clamped to the bars. Home Depot now sells chrome plated hardware that you can replace these bolts. more chrome polish and a Q-Tip would remedy this. The stem bolts show signs of rust in the hex/allen head. The stem bolt is a"Potts Mod" style whereby you can route the front brake cable through the stem and out the neck of the fork to the front brake caliper. There are NO hammer marks or dings. The stem has"Anlun" stamped on it.The sixth pic shows the small white plastic insert where I believe you can install a brake cable adjuster. I have NOT polished this stem at all! I wiped it off with Windex and that's it! It is completely silver(darn near chrome) and was not painted like many of the others. ![]() NOTE that the top cap does not have"Group 1" stamped in it which probably dates it as one of the earliest Haro stems. Please take a close look at the pix because I haven't seen a Haro stem like this in a loooooong time.
